Clubs & Organizations

The Business Club is one of the most active clubs on campus. We welcome students of any major and especially those who are majoring in subjects such as Business Administration, Accounting, Hospitality and Tourism, Sports Management, and Office Technology.  As members of the Business Club, we are responsible for helping and running major community events such as The Business and Leadership Symposium Day that takes place in March and we also contribute volunteering at the American Heart Association's North Country Heart Walk. We organize club meetings once a month to discuss new ideas about upcoming events we are working on or coordinating a fundraiser that helps us pay for an end of the year trip. The end of the year trip is after the spring semester where we visit a new area and study different businesses in that area. Often it will involve fun activities and a tour around a major business in that area to help students learn about the secrets to Success in the Business World. The Business Club is also now open for students that are a part of the jointly registered SUNY Potsdam and JCC Business Program.

The NSLS is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at Jefferson Community College was started in 2013. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with 700+ chapters and over 1.4 million members.

Students are selected based on exemplary academic achievement. As of 2021 we have 1,097 members who have access to:

The NSLS leadership program teaches the interpersonal skills that employers seek to give you an edge in the job market. Hear directly from current members as they share how their experience has changed their life.

If you become a member, some of the other benefits are:

  • Learn from exceptional leaders like former President Barack Obama during exclusive Speaker Broadcasts.
  • Meet new friends and make lifelong connections (on-campus and virtually).
  • Overcome challenges with success coaches, shortcutting your way to success.
  • Access to private networking events.

Visit the NSLS website to learn more about what it takes to be inducted, should you receive a nomination.

If you have any other questions, email [email protected].

We are a Registered Student Organization (RSO). As of 2021, we had 1,097 in our chapter and there are more than 1.4 million members nationwide.

The club's mission is to promote/expand visibility and growth of the nursing profession, as well as to promote high personal standards among nursing students.

The Turning Point USA chapter at JCC is the newest club on campus. We welcome anyone and especially students who are interested in government and economics. As a chapter, we have meetings once a month to discuss new ideas for events and ways to give back to the community. There is a wide variety of events we can hold such as debates, forums, and voter registration days. We are also working on ideas for fundraising. The funds raised will help host events and cover travel expenses for events we would like to go to. This club is very informative, fun, and interactive. We look forward to meeting new members, hosting unique events, and giving back to the community!
