Summer Session

Register for Summer Classes

As you plan your schedule for the next semester, consider the benefits of taking a summer session class or two now. Whether you are a current JCC student, attend another college, or are in the military, taking a summer session class can help keep your degree on track.

  • Get ahead and finish your degree sooner!
  • Catch up by taking a class you couldn’t fit in during the semester
  • Focus your full attention on a difficult class
  • Fulfill a SUNY general education requirement

Summer classes are condensed into 4- and 8- week sessions. This means that the content of the course will be the same as if it were offered over 12 weeks, but assignments, tests, etc. will happen at a faster pace.

Classes

Check out the Summer Session class listing. We offer dozens of classes.
Classes are offered online, on campus and on Fort Drum.

Dates

8-Week classes run June 3 – July 29.
4-Week Early Session classes run June 3 – June 28.
4-Week Late Session classes run July 8 – August 2.
Special Session classes begin any time after May 22 and end no later than August 9

Check out Summer Session class listing (select Summer 2019 term). Some classes fill quickly, so register early to reserve your seat.

Step 2: Register for classes

If you are new to JCC or enrolled at another college, call Enrollment Services at (315) 786-2437 to register for classes. If you are currently enrolled at the College make an appointment with your advisor. If you are a current Jefferson student, you can register through the myJCC portal.

Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid

If you are registering for summer classes, you may be eligible to receive financial aid. You will need to submit the 2018-19 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by June 30 to apply for summer financial aid.  Once you submit FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will determine your eligibility for summer financial aid.
