Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for disability services from the Learning and Success Center, you must:
- Apply and be accepted to Jefferson Community College through the regular Admissions or Continuing Education processes.
- Submit current and comprehensive documentation of the specific disability to the LSC. This documentation must be generated by a licensed M.D., licensed psychologist or school psychologist. The documentation must include a diagnosis of the disability; state how the disability affects you; discuss functional limitations; and make recommendations for accommodation. Documentation will be kept confidential. Guidelines and Forms are available for assistance.
- Make an appointment to meet with the Accommodative Specialist for Students with Disabilities to discuss reasonable accommodations.
