DoD My Career Advancement Account
A special program for military spouses
Jefferson participates in the Department of Defense (DoD) My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA), a financial aid program that assists military spouses with funding to help pursue an associate’s degree, a certification, or a license that will provide here with a portable career.
MyCAA financial aid is limited to military spouses of soldiers in the pay grades of
E1-E5, W1-W2, and O1-O2. MyCAA funding provides up to $2,000 of financial aid per
DoD’s fiscal year and up to a total of $4,000.
Eligible spouses can use MyCAA funding to augment/supplement other financial aid programs to pursue a career focused associate’s degree at Jefferson or can use the funding for non-credit professional certification and licensing programs through Jefferson’s Workforce Development & Business Division.
